Questions
Can't find what you need? Email support@sabrsoftware.com and a person answers. Sources: the U.S. EPA's RCRAInfo hazardous-waste records.
Where does the data come from?
EPA's RCRAInfo, the national hazardous-waste database. Every site that generates, ships or handles hazardous waste notifies EPA or its state on the Site ID form (8700-12), and EPA publishes the records every week.
What counts as new?
A site whose EPA ID was first filed recently: the earliest record for that ID is from the last few weeks, and it wasn't in EPA's records before. Updates from sites that already had an ID are left out, and so are California's temporary IDs for household clean-outs.
What do LQG, SQG and VSQG mean?
EPA's generator sizes by how much hazardous waste a site makes in a month: large quantity (1,000 kg or more), small quantity (100 to 1,000 kg) and very small quantity (under 100 kg). Short-term generators (a one-time cleanup or project) are flagged.
Which regions and states are covered?
All of them. EPA's ten regions are the price unit; you can narrow a region to the states you serve for free. Some states enter notifications in their own systems first, so a few sites reach EPA, and you, a few weeks after they notify.
Is there a phone number and email?
Usually. The site files a contact phone (about 95% of new sites) and email (about 85%) with EPA, and we pass them on as the facility's contact. We never include the name or title of the person listed, and we leave out personal webmail addresses.
Can I change my regions or filters?
Yes. Reply to any email with the regions, states, sizes or industries you want.
Can I use the data for screening or credit decisions?
No. We aren't a consumer reporting agency, and the data can't be used for credit, insurance, employment or housing decisions about anyone.
How do I cancel?
Anytime, from the link in every email. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the month you've paid for.
